Das amerikanische Dampfschiff „Washington“, von Newyork via Sou-
thampton nach Bremen bestimmt, ist am 14. April wegen Mangel an
Kohlen in Miford eingelaufen und hat am 15. seine Reise fortgesetzt.
Das Schiff hatte während der ganzen Reise fortwährend mit östlichen
Stürmen zu kämpfen gehabt und war vom Eise besetzt gewesen.

Bremen, 19. April. Den Angehörigen der pr. Bre-
mer Schiff „Elise“, Capt. J. H. Gätjen, ( am 9. März
von der Weser nach Newyork in See gegangen ) beför-
derten Passagiere, mache ich hiedurch die Mittheilung,
daß dieses Schiff nach einer sehr schnellen Reise von
nur 25 Tagen glücklich in Newyork angekommen.
An Bord war Alles wohl.
